Zidane's headbutt gets a statue

Tuesday, October 2, 2012

The infamous moment which ended French iconic footballer Zinedine Zidane's career, when he knocked down Marco Materazzi with his forehead for allegedly making some racial slurs during overtime at the 2006 World Cup final between France and Italy, was immortalized by sculptor Adel Abdessemed.

The 16-feet-tall bronze statue can be seen outside the Pompidou Center in Paris
