We binged on the directors’ previous sci-fi outings to prepare for the impending boss battles. Consider it a blaster class in filmmaking.

Back to the 90s

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Actor/director Ben Giroux and indie hip-hop musician Jensen Reed have put together catchy song and a funny video to go with it, in which they pay tribute to the 1990s, by parodying the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, blowing on Nintendo cartridges, and keeping an eye out for Tonya Harding attacks.
"Back to the 90s is an homage to the decade we grew up in. Through a completely original song, we highlight multiple genres of 90s music within the same track (including hip-hop, grunge, R&B, and boy bands). The project is a love letter to our childhoods, two years in the making," Ben said in a statement. Jensen added, "The music video features throwback animation, Walkmans, bleached tips — we tried to make it as authentically 90s as possible. We think it’s going to be a hit with our generation."
