Famous movie scenes recreated with a baby and houshold objects

Monday, December 23, 2013

Wah Wars (Star Wars)

Cardboard Box Office is a project created by Lilly and Leon and their cute baby Orson that recreates memorable scenes from famous movies with some cardboard and other household objects.
The project began after finding that we had accumulated both a lot of cardboard boxes (due to moving to a new country) and a baby (due to giving birth). With our social lives drastically altered we decided to find a way to make some of those housebound weekends a little more fun.

The costumes, props, and sets in Cardboard Box Office are created entirely out of everyday household items, toys, cardboard, and three individuals slowly losing their sanity. Enjoy!

Multi-tasker of the day: Surfing, playing the guitar and singing at the same time

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

Musician and surfer Chris Hau plays a cover of Sitting on the Dock of the Bay, by Otis Redding, on his guitar while surfing.
So last year I had this idea to surf, play guitar and sing at the same time. We tried to film it once last fall but mother nature wasn't in the mood for us that day and we had to scrap the video. Then winter came.....and I had to wait. The video is all live, I used a personal recording device and taped it to my back for the audio. While surfing behind a boat, the engine is so loud that you can't hear your self singing and playing guitar, so this is me guessing notes and the tempo of the tune. I practiced infront of a lawn mower in my garage. Anyways, thank you so much for watching and if you can, share it with a friend of two. :)
