Book of the day: Star Wars Kama Sutra

Tuesday, December 15, 2015

In anticipation of the upcoming Episode VII - The Force Awakens, a book full of Star Wars-themed sex positions recently came out: The Extremely Unofficial and Highly Unauthorized Star Wars Kama Sutra, by S. N. Herder
This book was created for Star Wars fans with a slightly twisted sense of humor. It is a parody of the characters in the Star Wars universe and created with all the love in the world that I’ve got for them (yes, even Jar Jar). Within these pages, you’ll find all your favorite Star Wars characters, represented by the action figures that I have purchased over the years, engaged in all manner of absurd sexual positions and situations. Don’t try any of the positions in this book. Most of them are not physically achievable, and I’ve got no idea where you’d be able to find a Rancor, anyway. Don’t buy this book for small children. That’s just stupid. Buy it for your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, friend or parent. Buy it for anyone you know who loves Star Wars and knows that the internal temperature of a Taun Taun is always going to be “Luke Warm.” May the Force be with you.

How "Attack of the Clones" should have ended

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

The guys from How It Should Have Ended (previously) offer an alternate ending for Star Wars - Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
There were far too many scenes to cover in Star Wars Attack of the Clones. Like why doesn't anyone follow the money trail when the clone army is discovered being ordered by a long dead jedi? Why don't the Cloners Aliens ever call to confirm someone will come get their giant army after waiting 10 years to grow them? Why does everyone just let Dooku walk around? Why does OB-1 not mention that Dooku says the senate is being manipulated by the Dark Lord of the Sith? Why not make that public? The HISHE would be over 30 minutes long and we might have collapsed trying to build all of those scenes. So we hope you enjoy the scenes we chose. It was a very fun episode to work on.

Is a deeply discounted television, laptop or smartphone worth risking your life over? For years, Black Friday has asked American shoppers this very question, and for years, they’ve responded with a resounding, “Give me that Xbox One or I will stab you in the face!” The front lines of Black Friday have become consumer war zones. Getting into a store just as the doors open means you risk getting punched, trampled, stabbed or shot. Lots of unlucky shoppers have left stores in the backs of ambulances. Some even unluckier ones have left in body bags. Black Friday may be the official start of the holiday shopping season, but if you’re not careful, it may also be the official end of your life.

Reservoir Foes by Skullpy
They were the coolest band of creeps in the cartoon universe, five ugly guys with an equally ugly mission- to make those good guys bark like little dogs. But the decks were stacked against them, and those colorful gangsters from the Reservoir were looking to muscle in on their villainous territory, so they had to come up with a sinister plan. They decided to put their gruesome heads together and work as a team, which was unprecedented in the world of evil overlording. Ten movies you won't believe are based on real stories

Tuesday, November 17, 2015

Rob Flis of Screen Rant shares ten movies that will probably surprise you to hear were based on true stories.
When a story unfolds in the real world that seems like a movie come to life, Hollywood studios don't waste time in adapting it. But not every movie based on a true story is clearly advertised as one, which means some stories that seem too strange, too hard to believe, or just too well-hidden to be based on fact slip by audiences.

Recycled movie scenes in Disney films

Friday, November 13, 2015

In one of Screen Rant's latest videos, narrator Rob Flis points out how the animators from Disney reuse scenes from their previous films.
Disney may be a major studio, but it started small, which meant its animators had to bring people, animals, and magical creatures to life better than any one. When they did just that - and didn't have the budget to bankroll million-dollar movies - the animators decided NOT to start from scratch. Instead, they traced over animation that had already been released. And if you think it's just a case of copying a handful of frames, we've got a surprise for you!
