The Chickening

The Chickening is the first of its kind in remixed, augmented cinema. It is a theatrical trailer for a fictional film in which Stanley Kubrick’s classic film The Shining has been artfully transformed into a new, poultry-infused comedy adventure by digitally altering the film to create a new narrative. This new style of filmmaking is a hilarious collision of classic films with modern day visual effects; “Cinegraffiti”—the ultimate neo-nostalgic visual feast for this digital age.

More real dark stories behind popular Disney movies

Tuesday, January 26, 2016

Screen Rant narrator Rob Flis returns with a new set of Disney films that were inspired by gruesome fairytales and stories.
Despite being kids movies, Disney films have a reputation for including dark elements like the death of a parent or villains hiding behind a pretty face. But the original stories many Disney movies are based on are even darker and more gruesome than what makes it into the final animated feature. We've already gone over the twisted tales behind Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and other popular animated films, but we've got even more dark stories that inspired Disney movies. Stick around until the end for a link to our other video about Dark Disney Stories!

Weed-induced paranoia of the day: Traffickers get high and call cops to turn themselves in, thinking they are being followed

Thursday, January 21, 2016

While taking 20 pounds of marijuana over state borders, two drug dealers under the influence stopped and called the police in Rexburg, Idaho, to turn themselves, in an attempt to end their pursuit by "cops driving around in a bunch of civilian cars not wanting to pick us up."
Leland Ayala-Doliente, 22, and Holland Sward, 23, were traveling from Las Vegas to Bozeman, Montana, with some 20 pounds of marijuana. Court documents show the men were using marijuana during their trip and when they entered Idaho, they felt they were being followed by undercover police officers.

Rexburg Police Cpt. Randy Lewis told EastIdahoNews.com that at the time they weren’t being followed by anyone.

Once they reached Rexburg, the pair exited U.S. Highway 20, parked their car and called 911. They said they just wanted the police to stop following them.

When police officers arrived, they say both men had their hands behind their heads. Court documents show Sward said to an officer, “We got caught and we’re surrendering.”
