Dishwashing monkey is washing the dishes

Louis Dumas from Paris spent several months in Bolivia a couple of years ago, helping monkeys at a sanctuary in El Chapar get reintroduced into the wild. It was then that he shot this video of a Capuchin monkey named Pete:


Louis says:

"Pete had been observing me washing the pots for a few days before he took over and began completely and perfectly imitating me!

The monkey on his back is a baby female called Pea. She is not his daughter. Pete had an unfortunate overbite which made him a particularly ugly monkey; he had very little success with the ladies and therefore looked after babies a lot."

Man dies after eating cocaine out of his brother's butt

From ABC 4 News Charleston: Eating cocaine from crack led to death, additional charges:

The Mitchell brothers were arrested on November 30. While in the back of the police car, officers say Deangelo pulled the drugs from his buttocks and convinced his brother Wayne to eat them.

Now, the brother who survived the ordeal is facing a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

In a transcript taken from the in-car video, investigators said Deangelo told his brother, "You gonna eat it, you gotta chew it."

Later, officers said Deangelo told his brother, "One of us gotta do it, you the only one that don't have any strikes. ...You my little brother... I'm gonna get life."

The substance Wayne Mitchell ingested tested positive for cocaine. According to an incident report, his final moments were spent struggling to hold his head up and struggling to breathe. Officers said he had a blank look on his face and he was bleeding from his mouth when he was removed from the vehicle.

A long teaser trailer for the new J.R.R. Tolkien/Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings prequel was released yesterday: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins to Lonely Mountain, accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a treasure taken from them by the dragon Smaug.

The movie is set to be released in December 2012.
