Russian stuntman sets self on fire, jumps off building into a pile of snow

Monday, February 9, 2015

Amateur Russian stuntman Alexander Chernikov's jump from a 9-story building while on fire is making rounds on the Internet.

From The Mirror:
Dressed in bright purple, the 22-year-old spent a week preparing for the dizzying stunt, which was being filmed by his accomplice on the ground.

He searched Barnaul, Russia, for a building to jump from - to ensure his dramatic fall would be cushioned by a thick layer of snow on the ground.

Then he bought asbestos cloth which he wrapped around his legs under his trousers to stop himself from being burnt.

He said: "I climbed onto the roof and chose the angle from which to jump better, with a much better distribution of snow."
Here's the footage from his GoPro cam
