Woman hires hitman to kill husband

20-year-old Julia Charlene Merfeld from Michigan was caught on tape trying to hire a hit man to kill her husband. The two incriminating videos, both of them played in court on the trial she pleaded guilty on, were recorded secretly by an undercover cop who was posing as the hit man, while they were negotiating in his car.

At one point Merfeld explains that in her opinion, murder would be "easier than divorcing" - she wouldn't have to worry about her family's judgment or "breaking his heart" if he was killed.
