The NYU Replyallcalypse of 2012

It all started when New York University sophomore Max Wiseltier tried to forward an email to his mother but accidentally cc'd all the other NYU students. 39,979 of them.

Realizing his mistake, he quickly wrote everyone an apology email, saying he accidentally hit "Reply All," but this only led to the realization that any student could "reply all" with whatever they wanted to 40,000 people. Here are some of the messages that followed:
