There is so much stupidity in this it boggles the mind.

This really is ridiculous. The world would not end without the internet and, in fact, we'd probably be better off.

Feel free to switch off your internet, luddie.

How many jobs were lost to the internet? There's a reason they're shutting down all the post offices.

Hundreds of thousands of people around the world protested against the Vietnam War.

And what about the racial protests in the 1960's?

The article itself even mentions the Berlin Wall.

All done before the internet. However did they survive?

The berlin wall doesn't really compare to the riots in egypt. the collapse of the berlin wall was partly hindered by the fact that two countries which were orginally one had change a lot economically - west germany saw steady economic growth but east germany had a lot of economic decline. Many people in west germany didn't want to have their nation merged into a poor country. Egypt didn't have this problem.

Imagine if the internet never existed, huh? Well for one, we probably wouldn't be so dependent on the internet!

I don't understand why everybody thinks this is a dumb infographic. What it's saying is not that there were no riots or protests before the internet. It's just saying that the internet has helped many protests gain in number and be more noticeable. The internet has helped protests, whether you guys like it or not. Also, you're arguing against the internet on the internet. Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds?
