Is 'You mad bro?' racist?

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

After an Ohio high school football game this Friday, the losing team was taunted by the winners' fans with a sign saying "YOU MAD BRO". The NAACP, and supporters of the opposing team somehow took it as a racial insult.

"I think the reference to 'bro' in the sign definitely has a racial connection to it," said Michael Hanlon, superintendent for Painesville City Schools.

Wow, this is proof that our generation has its own worldwide culture and uses the internet to spread it. That and that anything can be deemed racist by idiots. Someone needs to create a meme based on something racist, make it common enough that people using it don't understand it's racist then watch people go batshit.

Wait, they're mad about the racial connotation of "bro?" I didn't see a Guido football team anywhere...
