i think any live food will dance if you pour a hot sauce on it :/

OMG! Talk about animal cruelty, how would you like me to pour scalding hot sauce all over your skin?! Sick bastards! If you did that to a person that you'd be arrested and charged with assault at least and who knows what else.

Jikes! That looks creepy and does not exactly make me want to take a bite.

At least the squid actually is dead: the sauce is regular soy sauce and the effect is like putting salt on frogs legs (with the rest of the frog removed and most certainly dead): sodium causes nerves to fire.

Didn't look dead to me, are you sure it's dead? God, I hope so.
Cthulu will have his revenge! ;)

I'm not 100% sure, but pretty certain. Saw the dish in a slightly different setup and the nerve and the back of the head was cut. A live squid qouldn't sit around on your plate waiting for you to pour salt (soy) over it; they're not dumb. Click the link to YouTube, the guy that posted the video seems to agree the squid was almost certainly dead. this clip has also been shown at The Herald sun where they compare it wish dancing frogs legs.

The squid is likely not dead yet, the brain is still intact, it's just been gutted.

He is dead, as long as his brain has been removed (look at the top of its "head" something has been removed, cut)

but, we're not expert in this morphology, who knows if there doesent remain some nervous center over there... those animals are so strange.

I'm still angry about this thing, even if there is 90% probability it's dead : human should not have fun with animal corpses. and those videos could give ideas to stupid people that didn't know what to do. This is just stupid.
