Principal breaks up high school girl fight

Long story short: Shenendehowa High School Assistant Principal Matthew Heckman gets filmed while stepping in to break up a fight between two girls in the schoolyard, the video gets posted on Youtube, goes viral, the incident gets a lot of media attention.
School district officials said he acted appropriately. What do you think?

I feel he did. Teachers get into a shit ton of trouble nowadays when they try to restrain students, even if it's to break up a fight. My husband works at a school district.
What could he have done wrong? He just pushed an aggressive kid aside, nothing more. Maybe fatty should have behaved like a human being.

Obviously the man did the right thing.
The female school administrator was appallingly ineffective in stopping the fight with verbal means and the fight would've escalated if he hadn't come in the way he did.
People saying that the principal should not have laid hands on the rampaging girl are basically preferring to have the girl cowering on the ground from vicious hits and kicks to keep getting beaten by her same sex attacker rather than have a man intervene and stop the fight physically with a harmless push.

the principal did what he had to do but from what i learned you pick your fight dont pick a figh with someone much larger then you it never ends well and in this case it didint for either one

Don't start a fight you can't finish in 1-2 blows. He finished in 1 blow, and should be given a raise.
