Trust me, it's my hometown; only 6 chavs from northampton would think of robbing a jewelery store on mopeds as a good idea. Roll on Supergranny! I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't just trying to rob their peds ='P

It's Northampton and we don't even say it Narthampton. Most disappointed. And it's not a fake. The camera man was filming for a documetary for the local NHS and four men are currently in custody.

That was a very stupid thing for her to do. Way to risk your life for some inanimate rocks.

It's not the loot that they were grabbing it's the principle involved. The theifs chose to attempt to rob a popular store which is (literally) in the center of our town in broad daylight. Involving the staff and innocent bystanders in a dangerous way. If they had got away with it (if it wasn't for those meddling grandmothers) it would lead to a number of similar events putting more people at risk.

I agree that if she was injured or it had amounted to anything other than the culprits being arrested it would be a stupid thing to do. But this woman shows pride not stupidity in showing that there are still people fighting to keep normality in ours and every other town and city in the UK... The government does a good job at giving away free money to those who need it in the UK, for someone to go and think that they can make their money doing misdeeds(well illegal misdeeds) is not what we philosophize in the UK. The fact that this happened in my home town is mere coincidence but i implore anyone who stands up for the community over selfish people like these.

Essentially, in the UK we swindle our government not the people behind the counter.
