Oh dear Christ, I wasted my best years on that show.

Nah, still love it.

Lie to me
Doctor House
Bones
etc etc etc

they never caught a break -___-

These shows always end around when someone has a kid (she had an alien baby right?). X-files, Friends, etc. I think House will be next.

scully was smoking hot

@Anonymous - Scully and Mulder had a son named William (not an alien baby).

in one of the episodes they even parodied themselves, pretty much like this, can't remember which episode though. maybe the episode where they meet the vampire sheriff scully gets a crush on?

I used to watch it every week then there was a dry spell in my later teens, then i tried to go back and Mulder had been replaced by the terminator.... couldn't have been bothered to find the switch i promptly ditched the show

Scully actually saved herself pretty often and saved Mulder fairly frequently...

the episode that was EXACTLY this, including the scene with the scale and intestines is seasons 5 episode 12.

Watch it and remember why this show is amazing and funny.

The X-Files is one of the most brilliant television shows ever created. And though, this hilariously sums up a lot of the episodes, by no means were they all just this. The X-Files was constantly trying new things and pushing the envelope. It could make fun of it's self just as well as it could take itself completely serious. It was created by a group of very talented actors, writers, directors, and effects people. Television looks the way it does today because of their dedication to quality. (and yes, Scully saved Mulder just as much as he saved her, if not more so) ;)

the most formulaic and predictable show is hands down, Scooby-Doo and i don't even have to explain why.

If any show was formulaic it was the mighty morphin power rangers.
