Anybody got the guts to do that to a Muslim painting?

@Anonymous, I think the point eludes you. This McNaughton work is lamebrained and trite, yet lots of people hold it up like it's some sort of beautiful metaphor for the love of Jebus inside everyone. So, this is a parody of something that people care about, within the relevant society. If you know of any famous "Muslim" paintings (really, anything with an Islamic theme from the Middle East should do) that are trying to get across an appropriately insipid point, I'm sure someone would be more than happy to Cthulhu it up. It doesn't really matter which fiction the work is about, the defacing of it should be about as funny (though this one packs special punch because of the mouthbreathing Xtian Americans buying into this crappy painting in the first place).

This is Messed up.

Well RJ, we can all certainly tell which side of the painting you would be on. You are obviously very proud to be among the goats. So very, very sad. Your so-called intelligence has failed you on this one, friend.

Poor anon. Anger and stupidity in one convenient package...

Takes one SICK individual to do something like this to a beautiful painting that holds so much meaning....

well, if you wanna see a funny parody of this, search on youtube "Delicious Waffles Yum"

Painting rocks!!! Should be a version for all myths...uh...religions...whatever...

I actually like both versions. But then I guess I am a US vet, conservative, and Christian. But then I am also an H.P. Lovecraft fan as well and could imagine a story where the original painting hangs and as the story goes on it slowly changes due to the diabolical influence on the story teller.

THE THING THAT'S GREAT ABOUT AMERICA IS YOU CAN PUT UP STUFF LIKE THIS AND PEOPLE CAN LIKE IT OR NOT...THAT'S REALLY THE POINT....AND MOST OF YOU JUST DON'T GET IT...YOU WANT TO FIGHT..WAKE UP..YOUR RIGHTS ARE BEING STRIPPED FROM YOU BY THOSE IN POWER NOW..AS YOU ARE DOING EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT..

You know I believe in Jesus But I find McNaughton work to be just the worst insult to christians everywhere using him as political tool(which jesus was againts getting involve in politics) and raping Jesus just to sell his work.So is a relieve to see a improve version. And looking at the comments coming from enrage "christians" it appears they are just as mad as enrage muslims , who says they don't anything in common.I hope they do a better version of the other atrocities too.

McNaughton's regular paintings are disgusting knockoffs of Thomas Kincaid, painted with far less talent, and his stuff like the one that was the basis for this Cthulhu painting are sickening nativist kitch, with far more in common with the art produced in Nazi Germany than anything else. I can think of no artist who is more deserving of derision and parody.
