That's horrible.
A swastika is no laughing matter and a LOL one is just stupid and offensive.

LMAO! while it is a just symbol, after WWII, it was given a more current meaning which has yet to be changed or challenged. by tattooing it on your body, you are identifying with the nazi movement in the eyes of anyone who is alive today. i think adding the L's is like pointing a finger at the movement--laughing at it and its ridicules-nes.

or someone who was a nazi/antisemitic found out that they are actually Jewish! now thats LOL!

It doesn't matter whether or not it was originally a buddhist (btw, that is how you spell it so take note) symbol. What's more important is that the person who got the tattoo knows that the symbol is more so recognized as a nazi symbol. If they aren't racist, they are at least INCREDIBLY stupid. And to the person who said it was just a symbol and we attach meaning to it,I bet you thought you were really smart...but obviously that is irrelevant. We give things meaning for a purpose. You can't just ignore the meaning of something when it becomes inconvenient. That's like someone being in denial about the color green, and therefore deciding that everyone else made it mean that.

I'm a Jew and I am not offended by this symbol.

A symbol is just a picture and you have the power to make it what you want.

I doubt it that when the first man saw an owl the first thing that came to his mind is "Wow that bird is fucking smart". No, that's just what we made of the owl.

The swastika is just a combination of lines, and you can think it symbolizes racism as much as I can think it symbolizes pancakes. Of course the man with the tattoo probably recognized it as the Nazi's symbol but he just parodied it.

People make fun of Hitler and the Holocaust every day (including Jews) so the swastika isn't that different.

i have a swastika tattoo, and i'm not racist in any way. it's just elegant looking. sure, people get offended, but who cares? it pleases me, and that's what's important.
