First 5 seasons + first 3.4 extended episodes are some of the best TV I've ever seen (58 years in front of a TV.)
Bender is one of the most hilarious and outrageous characters ever created for the small screen, ranking up there with Archie Bunker and Kramer. Billy West is some kind of voice savant.
The series after it went to Comedy Central changed. They seemed to have traded out charm for snarkiness. I haven't been able to stick with more than 1.6 episodes in Season 6. I find myself running for the remote with a sinking heart: I don't want my love for this show to be ruined by what seems to me to be an unfunny, smart-ass oriented facsimile. It breaks my heart, but all good things must come to an end.
There may be jewels hidden in that miasma of the CC series that I may seek out someday.
