Many may be partial to Heath Ledger, but for me, Mark Hamill is the best Joker: he's been the Joker for the longest time on almost as many projects as everyone else on this list combined.
Conrad Veigt is the most terrifying.
I agree with the Mark Hamill statement. I used to come home from skill and the animated series, hoping that the joker would be in the episode so that I could hear him say, "Batsies!"
Was Mark Hamill the Joker in this version?
yeah thats the one! Mark Hamill was the best by far! the laugh was totally the most awesome!
You forgot Paul Molnar!

I agree that Mark Hamill is the best voice and laugh as the Joker. Heath Ledger comes in a close second.
Favorite Joker line from Hamill, after realizing that Batman had found a way to defeat several of Luther's military robots: "This might be a fair fight after all...and who wants to see that?!" Then he lets loose a dozen more robots.
mark does a kick ass job on Arkham Asylum...
Heath Ledger was a gay cowboy, Mark Hamil was a jedi. Game over.
while agree with the above statement and as the joker hamill was god, but you have to admit the comparison of gay cowboys and luke skywalker is fairly redundant XD SOLO AND THE FETT MAN FTW!!!!!
... Because Ledger's and Hamill's previous roles totally invalidate their performances as their respective Jokers. Of course. Insane Troll Logic!
Glad I'm not the only one here who lists Hamill as the favorite Joker, with Ledger a close second. And Nicholson a close-ish third.
Mark Hamill will always be The Joker to me. He was hilarious, dark, witty, and had a bombshell of a Hench Girl. Truly.
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE NUMBERS....
Oh ya Booger!
