What i don't get is why it is ok to make stupid comparisons with the iPad but for someone reason it isn't ok to make fun of the comparisons, even though they are totally ridiculous. It really goes to show just how many idiots there are about.
Actually it's just a good way to show who the idiots are. You just raised your hand pretty loudly. Yes, you raised your hand loudly, that is how stupid your statement was. Hopefully next life you'll be something more useful.

In what way was my statement stupid? And I don't think that the iPad is the best product ever made but i do think that it has its merits. I'm not going to get one (even if I did think they were the best thing since sliced bread I don't exactly have the money) but that doesn't mean I am going to draw meaningless comparisons and make ridiculous statements. Oh and how does my post make my life not useful? I would like to know what you are doing with your life to make it any more useful than mine.
As a journalist my editor does not care if what I write gets people writing in complaining or lovin it as long as they write.
Some of you need an education (read Zizek) the more you write about the iPad, the more advertising it gets, run it down, big it up...its the same, it promotes it, so when it finally gets on the market everyone will want one. Look at the first iphone what a piece of junk...look at it now best selling phone.
All these jokes about the iPad, iswhat a billion dollar comapny needs, its free advertising, I suspect as to make billions you ned to be half clever, apple probabaly started some of them...wise up and understand capitalism subsumes everything

The iPad isn't useless, it's a different device that isn't supposed to be like a laptop or a phone. It's not intended to have the same use as those devices. Just because it might not be useful for you doesn't mean it's a worthless device. If I want a warm blanket and somebody gives me a fish, that doesn't make the fish less useful, it just isn't what I wanted.

I'm a mac fan and I lol every time i see one of these charts because I know the iPad is just a giant iTouch.
on the good side, you can save a lot of time, instead of talking to someone for half an hour to find out if he is a complete moron, you can just check if he has an ipad
