Yes yes yes... keep making fun of our US accent b/c hating on people's accent is so kewl, it makes you a big boy/girl. Completely ignore the fact that learning Spanish is mandatory in most schools now (ESPECIALLY in the south/rural areas), so most people under the age of 25 speak at least English plus conversational Spanish.
And, while you're at it, make fun of the fact that we have tens of millions of illegal and legal immigrants who don't speak English as a native language. Plus African-Americans who speak a very distinctive vernacular. Whatevs.
