World record for largest Rube Goldberg machine

The Purdue Society of Professional Engineers broke its own world record for largest Rube Goldberg machine, this weekend. The new machine completes 300 steps to accomplish the simple task of blowing up and popping a balloon. The previous record was set last year by the same team with a 244-step machine.
