Maybe the little girl wants some changes in her mom and dad, maybe there is friction between them and is be felt on her end. Maybe the little girl is wanting a makeover of all the family relationship, the inner person , then she will want to fix the outer person later.
Maybe she just wants to keep her long hair and at 9 years old she should have that privilege.
Long hair is her glory before the Lord and the Bible Clearly states that I woman's hair should not be cut (shorn is the actual word that is used) for it is her Glory and also her covering.

One of the cruelest things that happened to my best friend growing up was that her parents cut her long hair off against her protests!
Good Lord are you guys are all inbred? Shake your little heads and get that bb in the right hole so your circuit can be completed and you can THINK. Maybe, she won't keep it out of her face or brushed and her parents told her they would cut it if she didn't. That is pretty common and I don't think it's cruel. That's just funny. Girls at that age are especially dramatic. She will get over it once she understands why they wanted to cut it. She's just being a kid.
