Sad dog story gets a happy ending

Thursday, May 19, 2011

After spending the first 10 years of her life chained up, without clean water and food or any affection from caring humans, Judith the dog finally gets a break. You will probably cry a little at this one.

Ok, I did cry! My husband and I rescued a litte corgi/jack russell mix from the USPCA two years ago and he is just a joy. However we think he had been abused by his previous owners because of his actions...first time we tried to throw a small toy to him he cowered on the ground, and he's terrified of loud voices, frying pans and broom and mops. I never understand how people can abuse animals!

Most dogs are terrified of brooms and mops. Probably a good survival instinct.
