http://www.flickr.com/photos/photo-tractatus/4879861926/ is the original apparently, so it's not a recently terrified panda. Just a hungry or snuggly one I guess.

I've seen this pic all over the internet now. Why do people assume that if thats a Panda, it must be from Japan, just because it's cute? Is that a bit racist? Just wondering.

There is the same probability of a panda in a french zoo, as in one in a japanese zoo.
