Banksy's tribute to Keith Haring in London, the piece that inspired the JBoy group to do the Banksy/Simpsons spoof, was covered because it's vandalism. Way to go, London!

i read that it was covered (by that dude in blue, who owns the building, and is a fan of banksy) to protect it from vandalism and that the building's lease is up soon or it is due to be sold. anyways i think it was covered to protect it... because it is a banksy. damn capitalist

Yeah it is clearly being protected, if they wanted to remove it they were use chemicals to strip the paint.

Good, Banksy is terrible, he represents art for people who have no fucking idea what art can do, it looks shit, it's messages are weak and predictable. I wish all Banksy work was removed from the streets of London.
