Michael Jackson - revenue after death

Like any artist, Michael Jackson is worth more dead than alive. Since his death, only 1 year ago, he made $1 billion.
Accoring to the magazine (Billboard), Michael Jackson’s album sales have hit about $383m, while income from the film ‘This Is It’ has generated about $400m. Profits from publishing rights, licensing and touring are also included in the total.

A new recording contract have made $31m so far. The Sony Music Entertainment deal will release 10 albums of the late King of Pop, over the next seven years, which includes one of previously unreleased work. The estate has been guaranteed between $200m - $250m for the deal but it is believed approximately $31m out of this has been paid in the last 1 year.
