Aren't there only like, 6 billion people on Earth?

To the above anon, whom I love dearly <3

I'm guessing it's in multiple billions way above the world's population because both the superbowl and the world cup consist of multiple matches, if you include the qualifying rounds. So I'm guessing the numbers are a combination of all the viewers over several matches, rather than just the finals.

I think.

American football is for "men".
Soccer is for both smart and skilled men.

That would be a neat trick since there is only 6 billion people on the planet, even if you multiplied all the people watching every match you would not reach that number. That graphic is ridiculously stupid.

Football is a sport

american football is entertainment for american consumers

so...idiots compare one game, to the entirety of the world cup? When the obvious thing to do which would be comparing the superbowl with the final match. This way you wouldn't get the idiotic chart that shows more people watched the world cup than actually exists.
