Looks fake.
I'd love the opportunity give you the same kick in the gut the cat got.
I'm all for animal rights, but the cat did it to himself, the guy didn't plan it.
At the start it looks like the dude thinks the cat is going to intervene, but checks the cat does run at him before spinning.
Then (obvious clip shortening edit) the cat attacks him when he has his back turned = dumb cat got what he was trying to deliver.
