A Dallas hardware sore wants him as their greeter.
Elliott's Hardware published an open letter to former President George W. Bush on Thursday, inviting him to apply for a store greeter position now that he's becoming a Dallas resident again.Link [via]
"We're confident that your experience working in your own family business, as well as your people skills developed through years of meeting with foreign dignitaries would make you an excellent candidate for the position," Walters wrote.
"I guess we just knew he was moving back to town and thought it would be a good fit for him," said Walters, who wrote to Bush that many Elliott's greeters are retired corporate leaders. The letter offers flexible scheduling, ample parking for him and his security detail, a short commute (seven miles) and an employee discount.
Rob Saliterman, a Bush spokesman in Dallas, said the former president appreciates the welcome home but declined to comment further.
