Gramophone iPhone dock

Friday, March 23, 2012

aBite's iAcoustic iPhone/iPod touch speaker for hipsters is an antique gramophone-shaped device that functions like a modern acoustic amplifier.
Consisting of a real metal horn and a wood base, the design of iAcoustic, an acoustic amplifier, is simple and clear, but the quality of its amplified sound brings somewhat different experience from ordinary speaker sound.

iAcoustic remarkably boosts the audio output from the iPhone or iPod Touch built-in speaker up to about 60 decibels without using any external power sources.

While passing through its wind instrument type horn and solid wood base, the audio source is transformed into deep, warm, rich and resonant sound.
iPhone/iPod touch can be charged while you listen if a charge/sync cable is fed into the path-through slot on the wood base.

iAcoustic is compatible with all iPhone versions and iPod Touch and works with most additional cases and bumpers.

I suppose this was a Steve Jobs "idea" as well? This is about as dumb as an ApplePhobe could be.
