A conversation between two chatbots

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

A chatbot is a computer program designed to emulate a human in a conversation. In a conversation with a real human that is. Cornell Creative Machines Lab wanted to see what would happen if you put two of them to converse with each other.

Robots are just dumb.

Urm yeh... The reason chatbots are way off is there's one (or few) finite answers to a question or statement. They don't work anywhere near the same way in which we do because they don't take affect from social morale, weather, current affairs, etc. Clever of them to hook one up to the other, just to show how stale the conversation really is.
