Young Silvio Berlusconi with Magnum 357

That's Silvio Berlusconi telling 50Cent to go fuck himself. Young gun: Unseen Seventies photo of up-and-coming businessman Silvio Berlusconi... armed with a 357 Magnum:
Reclining in a chair in his office, a sharp-suited young Silvio Berlusconi sits with a 357 Magnum in its holster clearly visible on his desk, proof of the emerging businessman's ruthless streak.

Seventies Italy was a dangerous time and the Italian president-to-be feared kidnap by the Mafia or worse - but wasn't going to take the threat lying down.

The black and white photograph, taken in 1977 when Berlusconi was an emerging industrialist, has been discovered in the archives of a photographer during a clear-out.

I remember well that era. That was the era in Italy where The Red Brigades were kidnapping, anyone remotely perceived to have money.

Being a politician or business CEO in those days clearly made you a marked man. Aldo Moro anyone?

If I'd be Berlusconi in those days, I would not only carry a .357 Mag, but a shotgun, and assault rifle too.
