Cool reaction of the day: red hot ball of metal gets dropped into water

When dropped into water, a red hot ball of nickel naturally surrounds itself with a blanket of steam that keeps the rest of the water away, resulting in some pretty wicked sounds and a puff of steam. All thanks to something called the Leidenfrost effect.
