+145. So how come my life sucks?

I am black intersex gay trans from middle east. Although I am homeless, blind, deaf, have HIV and am a retard, I still believe that Muslim is the right call for me. And being scientist works for me as I am short and kinda disfigured.

Fuck me, right?

P.S.
I got a kind guy on friday night to type this for me. He wouldn't tell me the total score, but he says it's pretty good.

+25 jewish
I saw what you did there.

Anonymous said...

125, though I think the atheism should get +something in most Western countries.

olloollo said...

Christian +5 doesn't work, it should rather be +5 for ateist. Jewish +25 works well :)

Anonymous said...

Norwar? That must be a heck of a place ... (btw - what exactly did you score? And you can subtract 500 for thinking of this and misspelling so much to start!)

Anonymous said...

Spell Check
If you can't spell SATURDAY or remember to run a spell check -500

Anonymous said...

There should be like a -20 for atheists. People freaking hate us for some reason.

Anonymous said...

They hate you because you look for any chance you get to state you're an atheist.

I got +65 :/

Social Autism -20
Immobile -30
Disfigured -40
Disease -50
Deaf -50
Black -100
Retarded -200
Trans -500

Your view of the universe is extremely skewed. It's easier to be deaf and disfigured than black? It's easier to be retarded, diseased, deaf, and black than transgender?

Are you kidding me?

Not surprised that whoever made this chart wasn't smart enough to spell "Saturday" correctly. My score was -35 BTW.

Anonymous said...

This is dumb. Reminds of the old game "MASH".

Anonymous said...

Whoever made this got bashed in the head by something heavy.

Anonymous said...

-5 here.

Anonymous said...

- 500 I guess I break the bank/

Anonymous said...

Don't know how to spell weekdays -2000

Jews are more privileged that Christians? What history books are you reading? And why the separate category for black Jews? We love Sammy Davis Jr!

Lance said...

45? Not bad. Ha

Anonymous said...

Better off disfigured than female, lol...

Anonymous said...

This is downright stupid. Sweeping generalizations are bad enough, but trying to quantify privilege at the same time is about as non-progressive as it gets. If you are the type of person constantly looking down at people and telling them to check their privilege, perhaps it's time for you to check yours.

Anonymous said...

Is this for children? The 'privilege' that this is supposed to calculate appears to be race based generalizations. That's racist.

Anonymous said...

According to this chart, being poor is better than being a woman.

I'm guessing whoever made this chart always had food to eat and fuel to heat their home.

195 wooooo

Anonymous said...

- what about mexico and south america?
- what if you make 30-45k? or 65-100k?
- "saterday"

lol

Anonymous said...

-65 because I'm gay and poor, luckily I'm (west) European.

Anonymous said...

Pahahaa

Anonymous said...

An impoverished, disabled straight white man has more privilege than Oprah Winfrey, you heard it here. This is a good poe if it's satire.

Anonymous said...

Forgetting 30-45k -10
Forgetting 65-100k -10
Miss spell Saturday -999

Anonymous said...

being white in Minnesota isn't a privilege because everyone's white!
being white in Miami isn't a privilege because you are the only one and you won't be able to get a job without speaking spanish!

Anonymous said...

OK, so "Disprivileged" is a word according to mirriam-webster.com. "Unprivileged" is more common, and "Underprivileged" is the most common (and it's what Firefox spellcheck thinks that's what I meant with "Disprivileged").

The chart is a great idea, but it definitely needs version 2.0 with this and the corrections ("Saterday"? "Norwar"? Really?) mentioned above.

95, the internet never lies...

Anonymous said...

Yep. My gorgeous junk should count for something.

Anonymous said...

'Social autism' is a 'freebee'? What the fuck do you mean by that?

Anonymous said...

I live in Mexico. Let's talk about the real privileges.

Can you read? +300
USA citizen? +1000
Own car? +100
Own detached family dwelling? +300
Have hourly job? +50
Salaried job? +100
Own computer? +25

US poverty line family of 4 $22,350
every 1000 less, -100
Your country at war? -200
Totalitarian govt? -500
muslim majority? -300
member, non-muslim minority? -300

Do all you 1%er's get it? If you live in the US at the poverty line, you are better off than 96% of the world's people. So quit smiveling.

This chart fails fairly hard in the profession area. Look, a bunch of degreed fields!

Anonymous said...

Why does it say "Norwar"? They're not at war?

Anonymous said...

-5! This explains everything!!

Anonymous said...

-35

Anonymous said...

I'm guessing from your comment that you yourself fit none of those categories and therefore cannot speak for them. Don't pretend to know the hardships of a trans person when you can't possibly imagine what it's like to live as one

Anonymous said...

65...

Anonymous said...

So, it is better to be a black, gay homeles person in the US than it is to be a white, straight plutocratic person in Africa?

Anonymous said...

I got -55 wow

Anonymous said...

40

Anonymous said...

I'm a Saudi with $10 trillion net worth ... being a plutocrat doesn't help me though, since I live in the middle east, so my net privilege is -550 without taking the other measurements into consideration.

Anonymous said...

So it's better to be a 5'5 man with a 9+ face than it is to be a 6'1 man with an ugly face. Interesting.

This proves true what I've always believed. Facial looks are more important than height regardless of sex, provided one avoids extremes in either direction (i.e. a 5'2 man or a 6'3 woman)

Anonymous said...

Pretends to be universally applicable: is blatantly Eurocentric and Americentric.
All of Africa and all of MIddle East lumped together and given horrible scores despite some high development scoring countries there (well off, stable etc) Why? Is it all the black and brown people bringing the housing prices down?! Nothing exists in the Americas except U.S.A. and Europe gets four sections to itself.
No section for First Nations, who are just lumped in with the other misfits as "Other"
No linguistic or linguistic-cultural minorities.
Mental illness non-existent. Blind is worse than immobile, disfigured etc.
Who even cares that some people don't want to have sex? Can you pick them out on the street? I can't.
Scientists, civil servants and teachers all worse off than the unemployed? Not coincidentally, most of those people (except maybe police) are extremely liberal, whereas poor people are often more conservative. See a pattern? Why not just put "LIberal -1000 points, Conservative +1000" it's pretty much how they see it.

Anonymous said...

So tall rich attractive black investment bankers wish they were short middle-income overweight white scientists? If not, then this survey is flawed and meaningless.

Anonymous said...

-135.

Anonymous said...

um i got -2740..... the internet isnt great here in the middle east. some nice guy offered to type this for me becuase i cant see or hear. it may not helpt that im black, female, gay, trans, muslim, homeless, blind, deaf, social autistic, immoble, diseased, a scientist, short, ugly, fat, overweight, and i cant addd. ahhh fridays....
also im retarded
so glad i was able toget a hold of a laptop from here on the streets. its so cold........

Anonymous said...

You oprresive shit lords, you forgot demi-sexual. How am I supposed to check my privilege points if you didn't even include my orientation. I exist to.

Anonymous said...

Why is being Genderqueer, which should technically be non-binary, considered easier than being trans? Most people don't even know we exist, at least with being trans, you can just say you are male, or female, but how do you explain not having a gender, or not fitting strictly into male or female.... People, even close friends, are constantly forgetting my pronouns, (they/them) and call me a she. I've been out as non-binary for 8 years. My trans friend, who has been out for the same amount of time, has not been misgendered once by the same people... This is just one of many problems with this chart

I think the person who made this definitely cashed in on that -200
