MaKey MaKey - an invention that lets you turn anything into a keyboard

Monday, May 28, 2012

Jay Silver and Eric Rosenbaum, final-year PhD students at the MIT Media Lab, bring you MaKey MaKey - a device you plug into your computer via USB, hook up to various common things with alligator clips, which you turn them into input devices, reassigning them to the keyboard keys of choice. It lets you play piano on bananas and stairs, or play Pac-Man using pencil drawings and such.

The project is still in Kickstarter phase, where it already raised $260,000+ of its $25,000 initial goal, and it will be funded on June 12th.
