Youtube prankster is facing serious jailtime

Friday, February 18, 2011

21-year-old Michigan resident Evan Emory faces 20 years in jail for "manufacturing child sexual abusive material". What he did: he tricked representatives of an elementary school to let him film himself performing a song on his guitar in front of their 1st-graders and then he re-edited the video as if he was singing sexually explicit lyrics and posted it to Youtube.

He isn't being sued, Anon, he has been indicted. It's a criminal trial.

To me the issue is he shouldn't be filming people's children without them knowing it. Does he deserve 20 years? No. But he did mess up. I wouldn't want my kid on youtube at all, let alone attached to something lewd. Dumb.

He isn't being sued...yet, you should say. Some civil suits will probably come of it.

Anon #5 clearly can't fucking read. He was given the go ahead to film by the school.

Pretty sure Dave Chappelle did that with his crack-smoker school visit routine ...
