It could be made of metal, isnt it?

It doesn't look like it's made of metal. Specially in the second picture

Actually, the second picture makes it look like real metal. Painted, though. That M16 disassembles exactly like a real M16. It's the right size, too. Only the handle is different from what I'm familiar with, and that is an easily interchangeable part. It is worth mentioning that the M16 itself has quite a bit of plastic.

It is a real M4 Bushmaster. A brief google search will reveal the process that this particular firearm underwent.

It doesn't look as it made out of metal, therefore it doesn't give you a reliable confidence.

paint you idiots. kinda like how cars are painted. just because its not silver in color doesnt mean its not metal

The AR15 has a lot of aluminum and plastic parts. . . handguard, grip, and stock are plastic. Upper and lower receiver, magazine body, buffer tube, and charging handle are all aluminum.

Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!!! Dadddy, Daddy, Daddy.....I want ONE!!!!

BOJAN!!!

Canadian C7s (basically an M16) is all plastic outer parts. We used to call it the "Barbie Gun". This is infinitely more disturbing! LOL(ish)

Anonymous said...

You morons.

First off, it's an AR-15.
Not an M4
Not an M16
Not a C7.

The C7 was a good guess as it looks the most similar, but the C7 can fire in full auto, which is illegal in the US. I know this rifle is owned by US citizens by having seen it on other sites. It was made to ridicule the california law that bans rifles with a pistol grip. (as if that had anything whatsoever to do with the effectiveness of a bullet)

Second, it's painted, not plastic. The stock and grip are plastic but the rest is not. This should all have been painfully obvious from the first picture alone. There is such a thing as an all polymer gun, but this is not one of them.

Someone should send that to Nancy Poulosi. How could she ban something soo cute.

Is that Sarah Palin?

j/k

It's an AR-15, not an M-16!!!

Man...that is wrong on SO many levels!!

I'm surprised the guy didn't get laughed off the firing range with that thing LMAO

Its a chick man.

My wife wants a pink shotgun for bunnies, hey, happy wife, happy life man.

Anonymous said...

Oh my god, oh my GOD ... OH MY GOD!

Get rid of the hello kitty, because that's kinda gay ... but I am so in LOVE!!!

A girl should totally have a pink M16 to go in her gun locker ... I don't think it would be particular useful for bunnies ... nor legal in Australia ... but still ...

More pink guns = more girls shooting = boys being allowed to shoot more.

:)

Stop talking about weather or not it metal or plastic. IT HELLO KITTY FOR CHRIST SAKES! You got to feel bad for every at that shooting range, you no noone could make a straight shot after seeing that thing.

What a weird grip. Is that the disconnector on the bottom of the top pic?

I've considered powder coating the lady's rifle pink for her.

At 1st glance, I might mistake it for a non-functioning training rifle.

It doesn't have to be made of metal.

There are new guns made from space-aged plastics, like the GLOCK 69, and which can't be detected by airport scanners. Also, they are designed to be spray-fired from the hip and kill police and babies while sparing bad men. Also they shoot armor-piercing bullets which can take down airplanes 10 miles away.

I learned all this because I'm a fan of the Brady Campaign on Facebook.

Anonymous said...

wow the grip is for laws that ban pistol grips, or so that it is not regulated. the stocks are plastic but most AR's are plastic stocks. also Lyric Hart, you may own a full auto in the US by paying a $200 dollar tax stamp to the ATF i believe and then you are finger printed get a license for it yadda yadda yadda... its the same process for acquiring a silencer

Anonymous said...

U guys ever seen the prank call to sarah palin on youtube? this for some reason reminded me of that cuz shed go hunting in helicopters i think...correct me if i'm wronh

Anonymous said...

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HelloKitty Is EVRYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God save us from the invasion of that damned pink cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That rifle is probably better received at a rifle range than other pink items might be on the street. You non-shooters really have no idea about those who do, do you?

For those of you not bothering to read the previous comments...

The stock, front hand guard, and pistol grip on an M16 are all made of plastic. The upper and lower receivers, barrel, sights, trigger assembly, and all moving parts are made of metal.

This is not an M16, but the parts are nearly identical and made of the same materials.

Seriously, nobody cares if it LOOKS like it's made of metal or not. Part of it is, part of it isn't.

OFMG!!!
I FKING WANT ONE!!!!!! i would put it in randomly with my sword collection. *^_^*

Anonymous said...

stand in front of it and i will hold fire and see what you say afterwards.... nothing

Anonymous said...

That is a real gun. They are shooting in Burro Canyon in CA. The grip is lame because its one of the ways to get around CA's retarded "assault weapons" ban which regulates weapons based on cosmetic features. Its not full auto. That guy has painted a few rifles. That one is a dig at CA's stupid laws. They tried to make that "oooh scary" weapon look P.C. in a humorous way to dig at the frustrated control freaks and freedom haters that try to run this state.

Oh, and that one IS metal. It has a forward assist and to my knowledge no AR platform rifles with a forward assist are made of plastics. There IS a plastic AR made by Bushmaster called the Carbon15. It has no forward assist and has an upper receiver similar to the original M16, though in M4 (M forgery haha) configuration with modern hand grips. Light weight, chrome lined barrel. Decent little rifle... but its still plastic... dunno how durable it would be in the long run.

Anonymous said...

What did you do to my great weapon it looks like it should be used in gang war in San Fransisco.

Anonymous said...

Imagine going to war with this...

Anonymous said...

speaking as an armorer... it's legit. and not the first weapon to get a 'kitty' treatment. i've seen shotguns, pistols,knives,ars/aks , you name it. just search "hello kitty guns"...

The AR-15 and M-16 are essentially the same weapon. The only difference being the AR-15 is semi-automatic and the M-16 is full automatic. Both are built by the Mattel Toy Company (no joke). Remove the butt cap on a military issue M-16 and you'll see the Mattell Toy Company stamp & logo. And yes, 50% of the weapon is plastic.

Anonymous said...

The M-16 was NEVER manufactured by Mattel. It was designed by ArmaLite as the AR-15, and the design was bought by Colt in 1959. Since then, the rifle has proved to be so popular that there are now over 60 manufacturers licensed to produce it world wide.

Anonymous said...

this is an M4 an M16 has a longer barrel than this for more accuracy. The M4 however is shorter for close quarters combat and more widely used for overseas fighting. But back to the original point this is an M4.

Anonymous said...

Also the m16 is not fully automatic it has only three settings, safe, semi auto, and burst. there is no such thing as a fully automatic m16 unless you did it yourself

I am 76, a Great grandmother and 52 yrs. a journalist. I have seen some really sick things in this life but this is one of the sickest pieces I have ever seen

Anonymous said...

You're 76 years old and this is the sickest thing you've seen? You must have been living in a bubble since 1937. Worse things happen in the world every day, and have nothing to do with guns.

Anonymous said...

BTW it's not a M16. It's an AR15 derivative. It is NOT a machine gun. It has the phony pistol grip to conform with Califormia's bizarre gun laws.
